Fennel, bulbing ‘Montovano’

Fennel is a great perennial herb that will provide fennel fronds and fennel seed (for culinary uses) and crunchy "bulbs" all providing a fresh licorice flavor.  
 
Harvest by cutting the bulb just above ground level. The plant will grow again and go to flower. Loved by beneficial insects - and birds will enjoy the seed but there will be plenty for you to save!
