Nasturtium, Empress of India

Nasturtiums are my favorite edible flowers (I think I say that about all edible flowers). This variety has more of an upright growth habit, versus trailing. Both the leaves and the flower are edible and are striking and surprising additions to a garden salad with a distinct peppery flavor. Nasturtiums are also great as a companion plant and "trap crop" for aphids. Plant enough to share!
