One of the best open pollinated red onions available. Medium-early and uniform. Dark red skin with good red color through all of the bulb layers. Known as a good storage type and we have certainly seen this to be true. Medium sweet flavor. It grows very well for us here in Oregon and shows better downy mildew resistance than many other varieties. A Czech commercial variety popular throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
Multiple onion starts per pot, approx 10-12. Divide and space 4-5" apart.
