About the event
A few years ago Kristen and her husband set a goal to go easier on the planet and to grow more of their own food, sustainably. Although their lot is a good size for an urban setting, they back to a beautiful natural area that creates a lot of shade. Kristen took over the tiny postage stamp lawns in the back and front yards and set up some raised garden beds that grow a bounty of seasonal crops. She has also incorporated many edibles into her landscape including vegetables like tomatoes and peas, as well as herbs and fruiting plants. Utilizing large pots and grow bags really helps to increase her growing capacity. You will get so many great ideas and be inspired by all that Kristen has done!
