About the event


Join Marni for a tour of the Edmonds College Campus Farm! Sam, the Farm Manager, will be there to answer questions as well. The campus farm features raised garden beds, a large hoop house with in-ground beds, a fruit orchard, bee hives, and more. Sam has also been experimenting with dry farming tomatoes so it will be fun to hear from her about her results last year.


The Edmonds College Campus Community Farm started in March 2012, as a model for sustainable urban agriculture practices. The goal of the campus community farm is to bring a diverse array of students, faculty, and staff around sustainable living practices and take advantage of an under-utilized space. The farm boasts over 20 raised beds, a variety of perennial edible trees and shrubs, a collection of bee-loving flowers, an edible rain garden, and a hoop house.
