This jumbo-size, greenish-yellow and red fruit is very sweet and juicy with crisp, pure white flesh. The least vigorous of the columnar varieties, Scarlet Sentinel™ is especially good for container culture. Very productive and disease-resistant, Scarlet Sentinel ripens in late September.
Columnar apples grow in a column, or upright fashion and require very little pruning. Great for an urban food forest. Mature size is 8-10' tall (if planted in ground) and 2' wide. TWO DIFFERENT VARIETIES ARE NEEDED FOR CROSS POLLINATION. I also have Northpole Columnar Apple available.
