Basil, Sweet Mammoth

Hailed by the chefs of Italy, we bring you the largest-leaved basil we have seen. Sought after for its culinary wrapping qualities, Mammoth Sweet has large yellow-green leaves with slight puckering and the most heavenly aroma. Multiple stems per pot create a nice bushy form. Harvest often by pinching back taller stems to lower leaves. Frequent harvests make the plants grow bushier and fuller and discourage flowering (when the plants put all their energy into the flowers instead of the leaves). Full sun location and plant out only after overnight temps are above 55.
