Cardoon

All the joys of growing artichokes, but on a massive (tall and wide) scale! Grow cardoon in a pollinator garden, for color contrast (dusty green blue leaves and stem, purple and lime green flower heads), cut flowers, and a neighborhood conversation started!Cardoons can get tall, can be 6-7' and be as wide. Beautiful, gigantic blue grey leaves and loaded with flower heads (smaller than artichoke). Perennial if protected with mulch over the winter.
