Vaccinium macrocarpon. Pilgrim cranberry is a superior variety prized for its abundant crops of large, tasty, red berries. Growing only about 6” in height with dainty evergreen foliage and bright red fruit, Cranberry makes an attractive ornamental and fruiting ground cover.
This versatile, nutritious, and very flavorful berry is good for drying and makes delicious sauce and juice. Cranberry is self-fertile and hardy to minus 30°F. Best in full sun to part shade in moist, acidic soils (similar to Blueberries).
