ORGANIC, local seed garlic! Beautifully colored Silver Skin strain; a Northwest heirloom from the San Juan Islands off the Washington . From Steve Bensel of Nootka Rose Farm in Waldron, WA. Cloves streaked red on mahogany background with solid red clove tips. Medium to large bulbs and very attractive braided. Strong flavor. This is one of our most popular strains.Silverskins are versatile and do well in cold or hot climates.
GARLIC SEED WILL BE AVAILABLE IN SEPTEMBER. PRE-ORDER NOW for mid September pick up. 1/4 pound is approximately two heads with about 8 viable cloves per head, but varies widely. Only plant the biggest cloves. Use the little ones for dinner. Plant in October-November after weather has cooled.
