Nasturtium, climbing Phoenix

These lovely climbing nasturtiums have charming soft yellow flowers and bright green foliage, much different from the usual bold and brassy color mix. They grow easily in any well-drained soil and will gracefully disguise neglected areas or twine along a fence, trellis or wall. 
Nasturtiums are my favorite edible flowers (I think I say that about all edible flowers). They are beautiful cascading over the edges of raised beds and planters or in hanging baskets. The leaves and the flower are edible and are striking and surprising additions to a garden salad with a distinct peppery flavor. Nasturtiums are also great as a companion plant and "trap crop" for aphids. Plant enough to share!
