Dutch Red Shallots are a hardy and long storing addition to the kitchen garden. Plant in the fall for the biggest yields. Delicate, sweet and savory flavors from this heirloom variety that will store for up to a year in proper conditions. Harvest in early summer.
SHALLOT SEED WILL BE AVAILABLE IN SEPTEMBER. PRE-ORDER NOW for September/Oct pick up. Plant in October-November after weather has cooled, prior to freezing, in loose soil and a full sun location. Separate bulbs and plant each bulb, bottom side down, about 6 inches apart and double the height of the bulb deep.
